Today there was a huge flea market in Schwabach and we the day for a fall stroll through the small, pitoresque town which is famous for its leaf gold production since the late Middle Ages. I loved that the stalls of the flea market were spread over the whole town and that there were no professional sellers. Unfortunately at the flea market in Nuremberg there are tons of handy cover and other new goods sellers which attract, well, a different. So this was a nice surprise. Not so nice was that I got yelled at for snapping the following picture. I guess after three weeks in the US with lots of Thank yous-Sorrys-Excuse Mes-You're welcomes-Have a great days I am not used anymore to the unfriendliness of the Franconians. Anyway. Schwabach is a beautiful litte town with a really nice flea market. Fact. And fall is my favorite season.

Schöne Stimmungsbilder! Da wär ich gerne mitspaziert! : )
ReplyDeleteWie herrlich!
It made me smile to read about you getting in trouble for taking that picture! The only time anyone has ever shouted at me (very angrily, I will add!) was at the Neumarkt Flohmarkt. It was a little traumatic, since I am just not used to that sort of reaction, and it seemed strange to me that someone would be so protective in that way-- it's not like it was merchandise she had made, which could be copied by someone less creative-- I think they were antique Bibles. Glad you got some great photos anyway. This is such a beautiful time of year...
