Illustrator & styling assistant Charlotte Love

Two weeks ago I came across the blog of Charlotte Love, an illustrator and styling assistant based in London, and her work instantly caught my eye. Together with photographer Jonathan Gooch she realized this Pastel & Ice Cream colors themed shooting with things from her home that you just have to fall in love with. Look at those chairs! Wooden chairs painted in the sweetest pastel colors! And the curtains! Since I removed the old curtains in my office/studio some months ago I have been looking for some nice replacement curtains but couldn't find anything I like. I want something white yet not plain white. But also not heavily patterned and yet not boring. Not easy to find...but these white/pink dip dyed ones are perfect!



I'm not only in love with her styling work but also with her illustrations. They are fun. Colorful Cheerful. And they make me smile. Woke up before 6 am but decided to feed the cats and get back into bed for some more sleep...only to wake up one and a half hours later and to find the cats hungry again...

Did some design work at home before I headed to my temp job...

Office lunch was a cheese sandwich I brought from home and some Müsli...

After work I went to the thrift store and was really tempted to buy this vintage Grundig radio in the second image...


Afterwards I bought some groceries and gave myself a free manicure at the essie test area at my favorite DM drugstore. Today's color: essie Mint Candy Apple. At home in the mailbox was some more essie nail polish waiting for me. Some days ago I finally scored a bottle of Cocktail Bling (my favorite color EVER but it was a limited edition and sold out everywhere) on eBay...

We had some breaded chicken and homemade pan fried potatoes for dinner. After dinner Mini and I were tired and decided to take a nap on the couch...which I didn't wake up from until verrrry early this morning.
